There has been a malicious intrusion in our main database server. I've been unable to harden the server for the past 24 hours, so I've made what I hope is a complete backup of the gallery and CMS as of 8:56PM today.

I am going to drop the server and restore it tommorrow at midnight at the latest.

All data on the forum will be gone.

UPDATE:

1:38PM 1/11/2012

I was able to make a backup of the forum data as well at the last minute.

The gallery backup was updated to include everything til 12:46AM on 1/11/2012, and the database server was dropped, cleaned, and the OS restored.

It appears that we have suffered no data loss, and no data (e.g. passwords) was compromised.

A New Hope

Hi fans,

It's beeen a long time since we've seen an update for Lu.scio.us, and for good reason.

I've been working on another gallery system. It was once dubbed Lu.scio.us 2.0, but it has out grown that name and that heritage.

In essence, its a gallery patterned around various communities: one for anime fans, one for hentai fans, another for afficionados of X, and another for lovers of Y, and so on.

It's rapidly nearly completion after many slaved weekends-worth of work.

In order to get it over the hump, I want to open it up to one particular community that hasn't always found a warm welcome on Lu.scio.us: the furries.

So to any furries: if you are interested in being beta tester, and member #1 to an all new community focused on solely on what you love then contact me.

Welcome to Luscious. We've just had a major facelift: upgraded forum, the gallery, and every other part of the site. If nothing else, the site finally looks pretty enough to take home to mom.

If you're an old user, you may be used to the new system. The old system used categories. This one uses tags. So click here to learn how tagging works.

If you're a new user, then you're in for a treat beyond belief.

What's different about us?

There's a couple of things you should know about lu.scio.us before you jump into the gallery.

  • Fans run the gallery

    Luscious works by giving you a way to share free, public domain, or unlicensed hentai and porn.

    If you're a hentai translator or artist, we offer a place for you to promote your work without paying the bandwidth cost. We have over 20,000 visitors per day and rising. This is the one place you can go for instant fame, and if your work is *good* it'll stay on the frontpage of the gallery so your fame will last a lot longer than 15 minutes.

    We've made uploading easy. You can upload 1, 2, 10 or 10,000 image all at once in a queue. Just set the upload to go, and you can leave for the day. Its like FTP, but updated for this century. Duplicate pictures are filtered out, so you'll know if your contribution is meaningful or not. Click here to read more about uploading.

    Just remember two things before you contribute to our gallery: (1) Read the banned content list, (2) lolicon is banned.

  • We use tags....

    We use tags to organize our selection. If you don't know what tags are or need help navigating, click here to read more.

    Tags are far better than categories because we no longer have to fight about if something goes in category A or category B. With tags, it can appear go into both categories at once.

  • We have more than anyone else....

    There's over half a million pictures in the hentai section alone. Some sites celebrate the # of hits they get with 5000 hit parties, or 1,000,000 hit parties. We don't. We celebrate the # of albums and pictures we get, because frankly we're the biggest hentai site around.

    It's an open challenge. Find a hentai site that's larger and bring it to our attention. We'll surpass them in a week, or you'll get 1,000,000 credits =) and we will forever give up our bragging rights.

    We are the uncrowned kings. Rulers of rule 34. If it exists, we we have it. And if it doesn't exist, we'll create it.

  • And finally... We are free!

    How many times have you found a so-called free gallery then realized it was only a sample for a paysite? Hate it? So do we. We offer our entire collection for free.

Uploading Policy

1. Lolicon and Shotacon are banned. Seriously.

2. Anything on the banlist is banned. This is the banlist.

3. Albums must have at least 3 tags (excluding the 'hentai' tag that's on every album automatically). We've been going with a quota that starts at seven and increases with album size for quite some time. (That's 2-3 top-level tags, 4-5 additional baseline tags, and whatever more is needed based on size.) 50+ needs ten, 100+ needs a more conservative twelve, and 1000+ needs thirty and so forth. The key thing is *organization*.

4. All manga has to have a language tag: English Language, Japanese Language, etc.

5. Anything else is a picture album and should be tagged: Pictures.

6. When a manga is uploaded in multiple chapters, and a single complete album, only one of these sets will be allowed to remain.

The other will be a dupe.

Clarification. We accept solo chapters of books as long as complete version doesn't exist. We prefer having complete editions in one album. However, you can not upload multiple unrelated manga & pictures in the same album.
ProTip: You can add a whole bunch of tags to an album at one time, simply seperate them by comas when adding the tag.
